This place had a buffet years ago; back on a nostalgia visit, we found the buffet replaced with VLT machines. The food was still excellent -- honestly the best won ton soup I have ever had.

I haven't eaten in at the New Moon since way before the Pandemic, have ordered takeout for delivery several times and it was always piping hot, fresh and good portions. My Mom and our family have eaten here many times over the years, back when Sophie, Marilyn and Judy were servers. Marilyn has since retired, Judy is still here and as friendly as always and Sophie is now the owner! When my Mom and I walked in today we got a very warm welcome from Sophie and Judy. Sophie has made some changes since taking ownership, the decor has been updated and refreshed. The washrooms and dining room are very clean. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was amazing, including the young man who also served us Shou. So nice to receive such a warm welcome, they may not know our names but certainly remembered our faces. It was lovely. We will be eating in more often! Ivy and Vickie Ivany

We ordered take out for four people. The order was prepared quickly. The food was fresh and not over cooked. It wasn’t too salty. Very nice to see that the packaging is eco friendly, but sturdy which made the take out option easy to manage and less of a guilty pleasure. Would definitely eat here again.

Food was hot and plentiful, we both ordered the #8 combo + an order of won tons. The won ton appetizer will suffice for at least 3 if not 4 people. We left full :) Great service and well priced!!

The traditional Chinese menu is filled with a variety of dishes which are all immaculate. One of the best meals you can have in the city hands down! I recommend this restaurant in conversation any time I can. Service is always very friendly and fast

Fantastic authentic Chinese food! Highly recommend! Got the cold beef tendon (Yum!!) dry spicy chicken tofu and spicy beef Szechuan with an order of fried rice. (Haven’t tried the Canadian Chinese yet.)
